The ACGME-I team looks forward to the 2026 ACGME Annual Educational Conference, coming up on 19-21 February, and to seeing everyone in San Diego! A robust and exciting schedule of learning and networking opportunities offers the nearly-five thousand attendees with ample opportunities to explore, meet, discuss, share, and enjoy.
The conference will take place in both the San Diego Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina in beautiful San Diego, California, US. The registration desk will be in the Marriott, while the Exhibit Hall will be in the Convention Center.
Learning at #ACGME2026
ACGME-I will present its annual “Update on ACGME-I Accreditation” session on Saturday, 21 February, at 8:15 a.m. Join ACGME-I staff members and chairs of the Review Committees-International as they announce and discuss accreditation decisions made at their meeting just prior to the conference.
The chair of the Medicine-Based Review Committee, Sawsan Abdel-Razig, MD, MEHP, will also lead a session, “Future-Proofing Medical Professionalism: Innovations and Insights in Remediation” (SES098) with colleagues from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, 21 February.
ACGME-I Vice President Halah Ibrahim, MD, MEHP and Board of Directors member Sophia Archuleta, MD, together with ACGME-I partner ACGME Global Services, will focus on “Global Implementation of CBME: Insights for GME Leaders in the US and Beyond” (SES009) at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, 20 February.
Take advantage of one of the role-focused Full-Day Courses taking place on Thursday, and gaining insights at two keynote presentations (Saturday), one of four Featured Plenaries (Friday), and a Sunrise and Sunset Session (both on Friday). Other educational sessions that may be of interest:

Networking at #ACGME2026
As in any professional gathering, networking is one of the most important aspects of the ACGME Annual Educational Conference. Opportunities to engage with fellow GME professionals from around the world are numerous, during both scheduled events and impromptu moments throughout the conference.
The Marvin R. Dunn Welcoming Poster Reception and Exhibitor Kick-Off, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, 19 February in the Exhibit Hall, offers a venue to network with thousands of attendees and speak with researchers and innovators at their poster displays. ACGME-I and ACGME Global Services invite all attendees to their annual International Reception, to be held upstairs from the Exhibit Hall in Room 15A of the Convention Center, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 20 February. Both groups look forward to catching up with colleagues in a relaxed, convivial environment, and making new connections and contacts!
The winners of the 2026 ACGME International Awards will be celebrated at an invite-only dinner alongside their ACGME counterparts on Thursday evening.

One of the perks of attending the 2026 ACGME Annual Educational Conference is the location.
