Subha Ramani, MBBS, MPH, MMEd, PhD
Dr. Ramani is a globally recognized physician-educator and scholar in health professions education, currently serving as assistant director of Education Science at the Brigham Education Institute and director of evaluation for the internal medicine residency program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. With academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and international affiliations in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Singapore, she has led transformative initiatives in clinical teaching, feedback culture, and mentoring. Dr. Ramani holds advanced degrees in medical education and health professions education, and her prolific scholarship includes more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and multiple guide papers for the International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE). She has served as President of AMEE (2022-2024) and continues to shape global medical education through leadership roles, editorial board memberships, and invited professorships. Her innovative programs, such as the Scholars in Medical Education Pathway and the ESME Clinical Teaching course, have influenced educators worldwide. A passionate mentor and bedside teaching advocate, Dr. Ramani’s work bridges clinical excellence with educational innovation, fostering inclusive, reflective, and scholarly learning environments across continents.
